Article 1. Name, headquarters and scope of activities

  1. The name of the Association shall be 'British Community Association'.
    2. \n" + "
  2. Its headquarters shall be in Vienna and its activities shall be carried out in the territory of the federal province of Vienna.
\n" + "
Article 2. Aim
\n" + "
The aim of the Association, whose activities shall be non-profit-making, shall be to enable British people and their partners and families living in Vienna to meet for social, cultural and similar events.
\n" + "
Article 3. Activities in pursuit of the aim of the Association
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. The aim of the Association is to be achieved through the pursuit of the activities listed in paragraph (2) below.
    2. \n" + "
  2. The following shall constitute non-material resources:
    3. \n" + "
      \n" + "
    1. lectures and meetings, social gatherings, walks, discussion evenings, sports and cultural visits;
      2. \n" + "
    2. issue of a newsletter.
    \n" + "
  3. The necessary material resources shall be obtained through membership subscriptions.
\n" + "
Article 4. Types of membership
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. The membership category of the Association shall be ordinary.
    2. \n" + "
  2. Ordinary members shall be those who fully participate in the work of the Association.
\n" + "
Article 5. Acquisition of membership
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. All individuals who are British passport holders and their partners and children may be members of the Association.
    2. \n" + "
  2. The final decision concerning the admission of ordinary members shall rest with the Board. Admission may be refused without any statement of grounds.
    3. \n" + "
  3. Prior to the formal constitution of the Association the (provisional) admission of members shall be effected by the proposer(s). Such membership shall become effective only upon the constitution of the Association.
\n" + "
Article 6. Termination of membership
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. Membership shall cease by reason of death, voluntary withdrawal, disqualification or expulsion.
    2. \n" + "
  2. Withdrawal may take place only on 31 December of any year. Notice thereof shall be given to the Board at least one month in advance. If late notice is given it shall not become effective until the next date of withdrawal.
    3. \n" + "
  3. The disqualification of a member may be decided upon by the Board if that member, despite three reminders, is more than three months in arrears of payment of his or her membership subscriptions. The obligation to pay the outstanding subscriptions shall continue to apply.
    4. \n" + "
  4. The expulsion of a member from the Association may be ordered by the Board for gross infringement of members’ obligations or for dishonourable conduct. (An appeal to the General Meeting against expulsion shall be admissible; the member’s rights shall be suspended until its ruling.)

Article 7. Rights and obligations of members
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. Members shall be entitled to participate in all events of the Association and use all its facilities. Ordinary members shall have the right to vote at the General Meeting and also the right to elect and be elected.
    2. \n" + "
  2. Members shall be obliged to actively promote the interests of the Association and to refrain from any conduct which may detract from its reputation or aim. They shall observe the Statutes of the Association and the resolutions of its organs. Ordinary members shall be obliged to pay their enrolment fee and membership subscriptions on time at the amount fixed each year by the General Meeting.

Article 8. Organs of the Association
\n" + "
The organs of the Association shall be the General Meeting (Articles 9 and 10), the Board (Articles 11 to 13), the Auditors (Article 14), and the Arbitration Tribunal (Article 15).

Article 9. The General Meeting
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. The ordinary General Meeting shall take place annually within three months from the commencement of the calendar year.
    2. \n" + "
  2. An extraordinary General Meeting shall take place upon a resolution of the Board or of the ordinary General Meeting following the substantiated written proposal of at least ten of the members or at the request of the Auditors within six weeks.
    3. \n" + "
  3. An invitation to attend both ordinary and extraordinary General Meetings shall be made in writing to all members four weeks prior to the appointed date. Notification of the date of the General Meeting shall be accompanied by a copy of the agenda. Meetings shall be convened by the Board.
    4. \n" + "
  4. Motions for the General Meeting shall be submitted in writing to the Board at least seven days prior to the appointed date of the General Meeting.
    5. \n" + "
  5. Valid resolutions, excluding those concerning proposals for the convening of extraordinary General Meetings, may be passed only on agenda items.
    6. \n" + "
  6. All members shall be entitled to participate in the General Meeting. Ordinary members shall be entitled to vote. Each member shall have one vote. (Transfer of the right to vote to another member by written authorization shall be permissible.)
    7. \n" + "
  7. The General Meeting shall have the required quorum to pass resolutions if one half of all members entitled to vote (or their proxies) (paragraph 6) are present. If the General Meeting does not have a quorum at the appointed time, it shall take place 15 minutes later with the same agenda and shall have the required quorum irrespective of the number of persons attending.

  8. Elections and resolutions at the General Meeting shall generally be effected by a simple majority of votes. However, resolutions for amendments to the Statutes or for the winding up of the Association shall require a qualified majority of two thirds of the valid votes cast.
    9. \n" + "
  9. The General Meeting shall be presided over by the Chairman or, if he is incapacitated, by the Deputy Chairman. If the Deputy Chairman is also incapacitated, the presidency shall be assumed by the oldest Board member present.

Article 10. Responsibilities of the General Meeting
\n" + "
The General Meeting shall be responsible for:
\n" + "
1) Receiving and approving the financial report and accounts;
\n" + "
2) Passing resolutions on the budget;
\n" + "
3) Appointing and releasing the Board members and Auditors;
\n" + "
4) Fixing the amount of the membership subscriptions for ordinary members;
\n" + "
5) Ruling on appeals against expulsions of members;
\n" + "
6) Passing resolutions on amendments to the Statutes and the voluntary winding up of the Association;
\n" + "
7) Discussing and passing resolutions on other agenda items.
\n" + "
Article 11. The Board
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. The Board shall be composed of nine members, namely the Chairman and Deputy Chairman, the Secretary and Deputy Secretary, the Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer and three other members.
    2. \n" + "
  2. The Board, which shall be elected by the General Meeting, shall, upon the withdrawal of an elected member, be entitled to coopt another member eligible for election in his or her stead, subsequent approval of which shall be sought at the next General Meeting.
    3. \n" + "
  3. The term of office of the Board shall be for one year. It shall in any event serve until the election of a new Board. Any Board members who have withdrawn shall be eligible for re-election.
    4. \n" + "
  4. The Board shall be convened, orally or in writing, by the Chairman or, if he is incapacitated, by the Deputy Chairman.
    5. \n" + "
  5. The Board shall have the required quorum to pass resolutions if all its members have been invited to attend and at least one half of them are present.
    6. \n" + "
  6. The Board shall pass its resolutions by a simple majority; in the event of a tie, the presiding officer shall have the casting vote.
    7. \n" + "
  7. The Board shall be presided over by the Chairman or, if he is incapacitated, by the Deputy Chairman. If the Deputy Chairman is also incapacitated, the presidency shall be assumed by the oldest Board member present.
    8. \n" + "
  8. In addition to cases of death or expiration of the period of office (paragraph (3) above), a Board Member shall cease to hold office by reason of dismissal (paragraph (9) below) or resignation (paragraph (10) below).
    9. \n" + "
  9. The General Meeting may dismiss the entire Board or individual Board members at any time.
    10. \n" + "
  10. Board members may announce their resignation in writing at any time. Announcement of resignation shall be sent to the Board or, in the case of the resignation of the entire Board, to the General Meeting. Resignation shall be effective only upon the election or coopting (paragraph (2) above) of a successor.

Article 12. Responsibilities of the Board
\n" + "
The Board shall be responsible for managing the Association. It shall discharge all functions which are not assigned under the Statutes to another organ of the Association. In particular the following matters shall come within the Board’s purview:
\n" + "
1) Drawing up the annual budget and drafting the financial report and accounts;
\n" + "
2) Preparing for the General Meeting;
\n" + "
3) Convening ordinary and extraordinary General Meetings;
\n" + "
4) Informing the members at General Meetings about the activities and financial status of the Association;
\n" + "
5) Administering the assets of the Association;
\n" + "
6) Admitting, expelling and disqualifying members of the Association.
\n" + "
Article 13. Special obligations of individual Board members
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. The Chairman shall be the most senior executive officer. He shall be responsible for representing the Association, in particular in external contacts, in dealings with authorities and third parties. He shall preside over the General Meeting and the Board. In an emergency he shall be empowered to issue instructions independently, under his own responsibility, even regarding matters which come within the purview of the General Meeting or the Board; such instructions shall nevertheless be subject to subsequent authorization by the responsible organ of the Association.

  2. The Secretary shall assist the Chairman in conducting the business of the Association. He shall be responsible for keeping the minutes of the General Meeting and the Board.
    3. \n" + "
  3. The Treasurer shall be responsible for proper maintenance of the finances of the Association.
    4. \n" + "
  4. Written statements and notifications of the Association, in particular documents binding on the Association, shall be signed jointly by the Chairman and the Secretary or, if they relate to financial matters, by the Chairman and the Treasurer.
    5. \n" + "
  5. Should the Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer be incapacitated, their deputies shall act in their stead.
\n" + "
Article 14. The Auditors
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. The two auditors shall be elected by the General Meeting for a term of two years. They may be re-elected.
    2. \n" + "
  2. The auditors shall be responsible for the regular inspection of the business and for auditing the accounts. They shall report to the General Meeting on the results of their audit.
    3. \n" + "
  3. In addition, the provisions of Article 11, paragraphs (3), (8), (9) and (10), shall apply to the auditors mutatis mutandis.

Article 15. The Arbitration Tribunal
\n" + "
    \n" + "
  1. The Arbitration Tribunal shall resolve all disputes arising out of the Association's dealings.
    2. \n" + "
  2. The Arbitration Tribunal shall be composed of five ordinary members of the Association. To form the Arbitration Tribunal, each party to the dispute shall inform the Board within 14 days of the names of two members as arbitrators. They shall, by a majority of votes , elect a person to chair the Arbitration Tribunal. In the event of a tie, the chairman shall be chosen from among the nominees by the drawing of lots.

  3. The Arbitration Tribunal shall render its decisions by simple majority in the presence of all its members. It shall make its decisions to the best of its knowledge and belief. Its decisions shall be final.

Article 16. Winding up of the Association
\n" + "
  1. The voluntary winding up of the Association may be decided upon only at an extraordinary General Meeting convened for that purpose and only with a two-thirds majority of the valid votes cast.
    2. \n" + "
  2. The last Board shall notify the Association's authority, in writing, of the voluntary winding up of the Association and shall be required to announce its voluntary winding up in an official newspaper.
    3. \n" + "
  3. Any assets of the Association existing in the event of the winding up or cessation of the promoted aim of the Association shall not enure to the benefit of its members in any way whatsoever but shall be used wholly and exclusively for charitable purposes as defined in Article 34 et seq. of the BAO.

    § 1 Name, Sitz und Tätigkeitsbereich

      \n" + "
    1. Der Verein führt den Namen 'British Community Association of Vienna'.
      2. \n" + "
    2. Er hat seinen Sitz in Wien und erstreckt seine Tätigkeit auf das Gebiet des Bundeslandes Wien.
    \n" + "
    § 2 Zweck
    \n" + "
    Der Verein, dessen Tätigkeit nicht auf Gewinn gerichtet ist, bezweckt in Wien lebenden britischen Staatsangehörigen, ihren Partnern und Familien eine Plattform für soziale, kulturelle und ähnliche Veranstaltungen zu bieten.

    § 3 Tätigkeit zur Verwirklichung des Vereinszweckes
    \n" + "
      \n" + "
    1. Der Vereinszweck soll durch die in den Abs. 2 angeführten Tätigkeiten verwirklicht werden.

    2. Als ideelle Mittel dienen:
      3. \n" + "
        \n" + "
      1. Vorträge und Versammlungen, gesellige Zusammenkünfte, Wanderungen, Diskussionsabende, Sportveranstaltungen und kulturelle Veranstaltungen;

      2. Herausgabe eines Mitteilungsblattes.
      \n" + "
    3. Die erforderlichen materiellen Mittel sollen durch Mitgliedsbeiträge aufgebracht werden.
    \n" + "
    § 4 Arten der Mitgliedschaft
    \n" + "
      \n" + "
    1. Die Mitglieder des Vereines werden ordentliche Mitglieder.
      2. \n" + "
    2. Ordentliche Mitglieder sind jene, die sich voll an der Vereinsarbeit beteiligen.
    \n" + "
    § 5 Erwerb der Mitgliedschaft
    \n" + "
      \n" + "
    1. Mitglieder des Vereines können alle physischen Personen werden, die einen britischen Pass besitzen sowie deren Partner und Kinder.
      2. \n" + "
    2. Über die Aufnahme von ordentlichen Mitgliedern entscheidet der Vorstand entgültig. Die Aufnahme kann ohne Angabe von Gründen verweigert werden.
      3. \n" + "
    3. Vor Konstituierung des Vereines erfolgt die Aufnahme von Mitgliedern durch den Proponenten. Diese Mitgliedschaft wird erst mit Konstituierung des Vereines wirksam.
    \n" + "
    § 6 Beendigung der Mitgliedschaft
    \n" + "
      \n" + "
    1. Die Mitgliedschaft erlischt durch Tod, durch freiwilligen Austritt, durch Streichung oder durch Ausschluss.
      2. \n" + "
    2. Der Austritt kann nur mit 31. Dezember jedes Jahres erfolgen. Er muss dem Vorstand mindestens 1 Monat vorher mitgeteilt werden. Erfolgt die Anzeige verspätet, so ist sie erst zum nächsten Austrittstermin wirksam.

    3. Die Streichung eines Mitgliedes kann der Vorstand vornehmen, wenn dieses trotz dreimaliger Mahnung länger als 3 Monate mit der Zahlung der Mitgliedsbeiträge im Rückstand ist. Die Verpflichtung zur Zahlung der fällig gewordnen Mitgliedsbeiträge bleibt hievon unberührt.

    4. Der Ausschluss eines Mitgliedes aus dem Verein kann vom Vorstand wegen grober Verletzung der Mitgliedspflichten und wegen unehrenhaften Verhaltens verfügt werden. (Gegen den Ausschluss ist die Berufung an die Generalversammlung zulässig, bis zu deren Entscheidung die Mitgliedsrechte ruhen.)

    § 7 Rechte und Pflichten der Mitglieder

    1. Die Mitglieder sind berechtigt, an allen Veranstaltungen des Vereines teilzunehmen, und die Einrichtungen des Vereines zu beanspruchen. Das Stimmrecht in der Generalversammlung sowie das aktive und passive Wahlrecht steht den ordentlichen Mitgliedern zu.

    2. Die Mitglieder sind verpflichtet, die Interessen des Vereines nach Kräften zu fördern und alles zu unterlassen, wodurch das Ansehen und der Zweck des Vereines Abbruch erleiden könnte. Sie haben die Vereinsstatuten und die Beschlüsse der Vereinsorgane zu beachten. Die ordentlichen Mitglieder sind zur pünktlichen Zahlung der Mitgliedsbeiträge in der von der Generalversammlung jährlich beschlossenen Höhe verpflichtet.

    § 8 Vereinsorgane

    Organe des Vereines sind die Generalversammlung (§§ 9 und 10), der Vorstand (§§ 11 bis 13), die Rechnungsprüfer (§ 14) und das Schiedsgericht (§ 15).

    § 9 Die Generalversammlung
    \n" + "
      \n" + "
    1. Die ordentliche Generalversammlung findet alljährlich innerhalb von drei Monaten nach Beginn des Kalenderjahres statt.

    2. Eine außerordentliche Generalversammlung hat auf Beschluss des Vorstandes oder der ordentlichen Generalversammlung, auf schriftlich begründeten Antrag von mindestens 10 der Mitglieder oder auf Verlangen der Rechnungsprüfer binnen 6 Wochen stattzufinden.

    3. Sowohl zu den ordentlichen als auch zu den außerordentlichen Generalversammlungen sind alle Mitglieder mindestens 4 Wochen vor dem Termin schriftlich einzuladen. Die Anberaumung der Generalversammlung hat unter Angabe der Tagesordnung zu erfolgen. Die Einberufung erfolgt durch den Vorstand.

    4. Anträge zur Generalversammlung sind mindestens 7 Tage vor dem Termin der Generalversammlung beim Vorstand schriftlich einzureichen.

    5. Gültige Beschlüsse - ausgenommen solche über einen Antrag auf Einberufung einer außerordentlichen Generalversammlung - können nur zur Tagesordnung gefasst werden.

    6. Bei der Generalversammlung sind alle Mitglieder teilnahmsberechtigt. Stimmberecht sind alle ordentliche Mitglieder. Jedes Mitglied hat eine Stimme. Die Übertragung des Stimmrechtes auf ein anderes Mitglied im Wege einer schriftlichen Bevollmächtigung ist zulässig.

    7. Die Generalversammlung ist bei Anwesenheit der Hälfte aller stimmberechtigten Mitglieder (bzw. ihrer Vertreter) (Abs. 6) beschlussfähig. Ist die Generalversammlung zur festgesetzten Stunde nicht beschlussfähig, so findet die Generalversammlung 15 Minuten später mit derselben Tagesordnung statt, die ohne Rücksicht auf die Anzahl der Erschienenen beschlussfähig ist.

    8. Die Wahlen und die Beschlussfassung in der Generalversammlung erfolgen in der Regel mit einfacher Stimmenmehrheit. Beschlüsse mit denen das Statut des Vereines geändert oder der Verein aufgelöst werden soll, bedürfen jedoch einer qualifizierten Mehrheit von zwei Dritteln der abgegebenen gültigen Stimmen.

    9. Den Vorsitz in der Generalversammlung führt der Obmann, in dessen Verhinderung sein Stellvertreter. Wenn auch dieser verhindert ist, so führt das an Jahren älteste anwesende Vorstandsmitglied den Vorsitz.

    § 10 Aufgabenkreis der Generalversammlung
    \n" + "
    Der Generalversammlung sind folgende Aufgaben vorbehalten:
    \n" + "
    1) Entgegennahme und Genehmigung des Rechenschaftsberichtes und des Rechnungsabschlusses;
    \n" + "
    2) Beschlussfassung über den Voranschlag;
    \n" + "
    3) Bestellung und Enthebung der Mitglieder des Vorstandes und der Rechnungsprüfer;
    \n" + "
    4) Festsetzung der Höhe der Mitgliedsbeiträge;
    \n" + "
    5) Entscheidungen über Berufungen gegen Ausschlüsse von der Mitgliedschaft;
    \n" + "
    6) Beschlussfassung über Statutenänderungen und die freiwillige Auflösung des Vereines;
    \n" + "
    7) Beratung und Beschlussfassung über sonstige auf der Tagesordnung stehende Fragen.
    \n" + "
    § 11 Der Vorstand
    \n" + "
      \n" + "
    1. Der Vorstand besteht aus 9 Mitgliedern, und zwar aus dem Obmann und seinem Stellvertreter dem Schriftführer und seinem Stellvertreter dem Kassier und seinem Stellvertreter sowie drei Beiräten.
      2. \n" + "
    2. Der Vorstand, der von der Generalversammlung gewählt wird, hat bei Ausscheiden eines gewählten Mitgliedes das Recht, an seine Stelle ein anderes wählbares Mitglied zu kooptieren, wozu die nachträgliche Genehmigung in der nächsten Generalversammlung einzuholen ist.

    3. Die Funktionsdauer des Vorstandes beträgt ein Jahr. Auf jeden Fall währt sie bis zur Wahl eines neuen Vorstandes. Ausgeschiedene Vorstandsmitglieder sind wieder wählbar.

    4. Der Vorstand wird vom Obmann in dessen Verhinderung von seinem Stellvertreter schriftlich oder mündlich einberufen.
      5. \n" + "
    5. Der Vorstand ist beschlussfähig, wenn alle seine Mitglieder eingeladen wurden und mindestens die Hälfte von ihnen anwesend ist.
      6. \n" + "
    6. Der Vorstand fasst seine Beschlüsse mit einfacher Stimmenmehrheit, bei Stimmengleichheit entscheidet die Stimme des Vorsitzenden.
      7. \n" + "
    7. Den Vorsitz führt der Obmann, bei Verhinderung sein Stellvertreter. Ist auch dieser verhindert, obliegt der Vorsitz dem an Jahren ältesten anwesenden Vorstandsmitglied.
      8. \n" + "
    8. Außer durch Tod und Ablauf der Funktionsperiode (Abs. 3) erlischt die Funktion eines Vorstandsmitgliedes durch Enthebung (Abs. 9) und Rücktritt (Abs. 10).

    9. Die Generalversammlung kann jederzeit den gesamten Vorstand oder einzelne seiner Mitglieder entheben.
      10. \n" + "
    10. Die Vorstandsmitglieder können jederzeit schriftlich ihren Rücktritt erklären. Die Rücktrittserklärung ist an den Vorstand, im Falle des Rücktrittes des gesamten Vorstandes an die Generalversammlung zu richten. Der Rücktritt wird erst mit Wahl bzw. Kooptierung (Abs. 2) eines Nachfolgers wirksam.

    § 12 Aufgabenkreis des Vorstandes
    \n" + "
    Dem Vorstand obliegt die Leitung des Vereines. Ihm kommen alle Aufgaben zu, die nicht durch die Statuten einem anderen Vereinsorgan zugewiesen sind. In seinen Wirkungsbereich fallen insbesondere folgende Angelegenheiten:
    \n" + "
    1) Erstellung des Jahresvoranschlages, sowie Abfassung des Rechenschaftsberichtes und des Rechnungsabschlusses;
    \n" + "
    2) Vorbereitung der Generalversammlung;
    \n" + "
    3) Einberufung der ordentlichen und außerordentlichen Generalversammlung;
    \n" + "
    4) Information der Mitglieder über Tätigkeit und finanzielle Gebarung des Vereins in den Generalversammlungen.
    \n" + "
    5) Verwaltung des Vereinsvermögens;
    \n" + "
    6) Aufnahme, Ausschluss und Streichung von Vereinsmitgliedern.
    \n" + "
    § 13 Besondere Obliegenheiten einzelner Vorstandsmitglieder
    \n" + "
      \n" + "
    1. Der Obmann ist das höchste Leitungsorgan. Ihm obliegt die Vertretung des Vereines insbesondere nach aussen, gegenüber Behörden und dritten Personen. Er führt den Vorsitz in der Generalversammlung und im Vorstand. Bei Gefahr im Verzug ist er berechtigt, auch in Angelegenheiten, die in den Wirkungsbereich der Generalversammlung oder des Vorstandes fallen, unter eigener Verantwortung selbständig Anordnungen zu treffen, diese bedürfen jedoch der nachträglichen Genehmigung durch das zuständige Vereinsorgan.

    2. Der Schriftführer hat den Obmann bei der Führung der Vereinsgeschäfte zu unterstützen. Ihm obliegt die Führung der Protokolle der Generalversammlung und des Vorstandes.
      3. \n" + "
    3. Der Kassier ist für die ordnungsgemäße Geldgebarung des Vereines verantwortlich.
      4. \n" + "
    4. Schriftliche Ausfertigungen und Bekanntmachungen des Vereines, insbesondere den Verein verpflichtende Urkunden sind vom Obmann und vom Schriftführer, sofern sie jedoch Geldangelegenheiten betreffen, vom Obmann und vom Kassier gemeinsam zu unterfertigen.

    5. Im Falle der Verhinderung treten an die Stelle des Obmannes, des Schriftführers und des Kassiers ihre Stellvertreter.

    § 14 Die Rechnungsprüfer
    \n" + "
      \n" + "
    1. Die zwei Rechnungsprüfer werden von der Generalversammlung auf die Dauer von 2 Jahren gewählt. Eine Wiederwahl ist möglich.
      2. \n" + "

    § 15 Das Schiedsgericht

    1. In allen aus dem Vereinsverhältnis entstehenden Streitigkeiten entscheidet das Schiedsgericht.

    2. Das Schiedsgericht setzt sich aus 5 Vereinsmitgliedern zusammen. Es wird derart gebildet, dass jeder Streitteil innerhalb von 14 Tagen dem Vorstand zwei Mitglieder als Schiedsrichter namhaft macht. Diese wählen mit Stimmenmehrheit einen Vorsitzenden des Schiedsgerichtes. Bei Stimmengleichheit entscheidet unter den Vorgeschlagenen das Los.

    1. Die freiwillige Auflösung des Vereines kann nur in einer zu diesem Zweck einberufenen außerordentlichen Generalversammlung und nur mit Zweidrittelmehrheit der abgegebenen gültigen Stimmen beschlossen werden.

    2. Der letzte Vereinsvorstand hat die freiwillige Auflösung der Vereinsbehörde schriftlich anzuzeigen und ist verpflichtet, die freiwillige Auflösung in einem amtlichen Blatte zu verlautbaren.

    The BCA was originally run informally, until 2000 when its members decided to form an official 'Eingetragener Verein'. This was founded in 2001, and since then the association has been known as the British Community Association of Vienna (Vereinigung der Briten in Wien).

    Members of the British Community Association of Vienna vary in age from one to 100, but the one thing we all have in common is our nationality.

    Subscriptions can be paid via bank transfer once you have sent your completed application, or in person at any of our open evenings. Fees are renewable yearly on 1st January.
